Are there a lot of artsy/creative people in college?
n my high school, most people listen to pop music and wear American Eagle clothes. I feel like kind of an outsider b/c I like alternative rock and 60's music and am very interested in poetry, writing, music, and art in general. I'm going to a state school, so I know I wont find as many as if I went to an art school, but do you think I'll find more people with my interests?
Also, is college more fun than high school? I know there's a lot of parties, but what else do college kids do for fun? I didn't really do anything fun in high school...
Of course there are. I feel the same way I was always different because I love poetry, macabre and erotic art and just really weird artsy stuff. I go to NYU and it is GREAT. I love this place people accepted my weirdness and helped my gear it towards my work. I want to be a filmmaker and I always thought I wouldn't fit in but I do. Trust me when you go to college you won't feel like an outsider, you'll be as comfortable as ever.
