First attempt at nature/still life. Critiques?
I didn't particularly want to go the floral route. Any and all opinions welcome!

For a first attempt I think it's very good , It shows you have a grasp on depth of field if that what was wanted, Although it is almost too short , now I love short depth of field but maybe 1.8 is a bit overdone f2.8 would have left the background out but have given a little more on the leaves, so f2.8 at 500th would have been my choice. good shot though.
